Emilio Gordoa
[solo for vibraphone and electronic]
“Action, reaction and use of the space as a tool for sonic perceptions.
Creating sine tones, noises, and diversity of acoustic quality sounds by preparing the vibraphone and using extended techniques are used to generate interactive inputs. Manipulated speakers in specific positions around the room transform the waves produced by polyphonic pitches when I bow the metal bars of the vibraphone. Signals are captured by sensors that are melted through electronic process to surprise the natural catharsis of feedbacks and electronic glitches.”
